For the launch of the GOLD JAY Z fragrance, kbs+
asked us to join the team to help realize their vision of interactive fluid gold in 4k resolution. Utilizing face tracking and the Microsoft Kinect sensor, we gave pedestrians the ability to splash around in liquid gold.
Collaborating with advertising agency kbs+ on the BMW Window Into the Future lead to a ton of awards! Adweek gave it the Gold Project Isaac Award for Best Digital AdTech. In addition, it took Gold at the OBIE Awards and the ANDY Awards. It won Silver for Best Use of Medium and Bronze for Automotive Outdoor Advertising from the New York Festivals International Advertising Awards.
Another project from founder Jake Lee-High takes the cake at the 2013 Digital Signage Expo. Not only did it win Gold in the Transportation catagory, but it received the Content of the Year Award. This is the highest award given out by the Digital Signage Expo! The judges gave it an unanimous perfect score!
Rain Field is an interactive sound, smell, and light installation which generates weather systems in relation to the movement of observers; each individual raindrop plays on one of the 117 speakers located within a 12 square foot area. Through a motion tracking system, the piece generates weather conditions based on live audience movement, determining wind velocity, direction, and precipitation levels.
Shadows of Isolation, a Virtual Reality artwork, is a lucid dream like journey through an ever changing worldscape. Exploring urban isolationism and the replacement of nature with technology, it uses VR as an installation space, stepping outside of the traditional gallery/museum model to distribute immersive art freely to the masses. First Memories is an oral history repository of individual retellings of first memories. Each memory is collected and held in an unmarked digital box, and stored in a specific, unchanging location. Due to the sheer number of memories, finding a particular box is nearly impossible, and the end product becomes a mass of individual perspectives, undefinable from each other until listened to.
